Transport Administrator - CV6 4BX | £27,000 | 08:00-16:00
We are looking for a Transport Administrator to join our professional team and support the smooth organisation of UK and European transport operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organise and coordinate shipments across the UK and Europe, including Full Load, Part Load, and Groupage.
* Analyse client requirements, provide tailored advice, and create complete transport files with accurate documentation.
* Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers, responding to enquiries, claims, or requests in a professional manner.
* Monitor shipments and proactively manage any delays or issues, implementing contingency plans as required.
* Negotiate transport services and manage suppliers to ensure cost-effective, efficient operations.
* Optimise routes and schedules to maintain or improve profitability.
* Maintain accurate records, process sales and costs, and produce KPIs for management.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, health & safety, quality, and environmental standards.
* Support commercial activities by preparing quotations and maintaining up-to-date transport documentation.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and work within 5S guidelines to improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in transport or logistics administration is preferred.
* Strong organisational and analytical skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Excellent communication skills and customer service focus.
* Ability to adapt to unforeseen events and implement contingency solutions.
* Proficient in data entry, documentation, and reporting.
This is a full-time role, working 08:00-16:00, based in CV6 4BX, with a salary of £27,000.
