Society is in your hands, what are you waiting for?
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Graduate Ecologist to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in ecological consultancy. The position is hybrid, typically requiring at least 3 days in the office or on site each week.
What does the role involve?
You will undertake ecological surveys, including habitat surveys and surveys for legally protected species. Responsibilities also include report writing, liaising with clients, contractors, and the public to support land use and ecology points for BREEM assessments. Additionally, you will produce habitat and other survey plans and perform Ecological Clerk of Works duties.
What do you need?
You should hold a degree in Ecology or a related subject. Whether you are a recent graduate or have some experience, you are encouraged to apply. The role can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, with travel to sites and other offices, so a full driver's license is required.
Some work outside usual hours may be necessary, such as night surveys for bats or early morning/evening site visits for reptiles and mitigation.
What’s in it for you?
Enjoy an inclusive, friendly, and flexible working environment that encourages growth and development. Contribute to society by being a trusted consultant to our clients.
If you have the required skills and are eager to join a company offering genuine career progression opportunities, we would love to hear from you.
