Overview
We are looking for a caring and highly motivated Radiotherapy Scheduling Coordinator to join our friendly and welcoming radiotherapy team at the Oxford Cancer Centre. You will be part of a team committed to providing a high-quality, caring and compassionate service for patients, ensuring the efficient pathway flow of patients through the Radiotherapy department. Good communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills are essential, as well as compassion, adaptability and initiative. Good computer skills are required.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team to schedule and book patient appointments for radiotherapy.
* Provide a courteous scheduling service to patients and carers.
* Communicate mainly by phone with patients, carers and the wider MDT regarding radiotherapy appointments.
* Liaise with radiographers regarding patient appointments.
* Co‑ordinate the SABR MDT and collect data.
Qualifications
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C.
* Excellent customer care and communication skills.
* Ability to adapt communication style as required; good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Previous administration experience.
Regulatory Requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties. As such, this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020. A disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions will be required.
