Your new role
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Section Engineer and wider Site Management team to ensure the successful delivery of the project. This is a permanent position based on site and is ideally suited to an engineer with a solid background in setting out, surveying and site‑based engineering – particularly within highways or infrastructure works for a main contractor.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out accurate setting out and surveying duties
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and quantities
- Planning site operations and coordinating materials with procurement
- Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
- Supervising site labour and subcontractor performance
- Ensuring fullpliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards
- Managing quality assurance records and resolving technical issues
- Arranging materials testing, calibration of instruments, and maintaining site records
- Supporting the Site Manager and contributing to continuous improvement and innovation across the project

Essential requirements:
- in Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management
- Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering
- Strong setting out and surveying experience
- Excellentmunication, coordination and reporting skills
- Valid CSCS / Safepass / CSR Card
- Health & Safety induction and First Aid at Work certification
Desirable experience:
- Background working on highways, rail or public realm projects
- Experience with AutoCAD, GPS and modern surveying equipment
- Knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures and instrumentation
- Understanding of procurement, scheduling and site planning processes
- Potential to mentor junior engineers and support team development
