From designing recruitment campaigns that attract diverse participants, through creating outstanding induction experiences, to developing ongoing training, support systems, and recognition programmes. You'll ensure every volunteer feels valued and has the tools to contribute meaningfully, directly influencing both visitor experience and our conservation work.Building an inclusive volunteer community – Creating diverse volunteer roles from one-off opportunities to seasonal commitments and traditional volunteering models. You'll develop accessible induction materials for people with varying needs and champion equitable access across everything we do, ensuring volunteering at Stourhead is genuinely open to everyone.Supporting and developing volunteers and Volunteer Managers – Providing training, regular catch-ups through initiatives like "Coffee with a Purpose," and creating social calendars that bring the team together. You'll be the trusted confidante and expert resource for our Volunteer Managers, helping them develop their teams and navigate challenges.Leading service excellence – Designing and delivering outstanding welcome and induction experiences that other National Trust properties want to learn from. You'll gather feedback through surveys and forums, measure impact, and continuously improve what we offer.Strengthening community connections – Building meaningful relationships with local groups, managing community passes that open Stourhead to new audiences, and creating outreach opportunities both on and off-property.
