Project Manager – Earthworks / Quarry Projects

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major earthworks and quarry-based project in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong site-based Project Manager looking for long-term, stable work with an immediate start.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering large-scale earthworks packages and must have previous experience working on quarry projects. You will be responsible for managing the project from site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing day-to-day site operations on earthworks and quarry activities
* Managing site teams, engineers, and subcontractors
* Planning and delivering works in line with programme requirements
* Ensuring strict adherence to HSEQ standards and company procedures
* Liaising with client representatives and attending progress meetings
* Managing plant, logistics, and materials across the site
* Monitoring progress, costs, and reporting to senior management
* Identifying and mitigating project risks
* Driving productivity while maintaining quality standards
Requirements:
* Proven experience as Project Manager on earthworks projects
* Quarry project experience is essential
* Strong knowledge of bulk earthmoving, cut & fill, geotechincal knowledge and site logistics
* Experience managing large plant fleets and production targets
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to manage programmes and deliver to deadlines
* SMSTS (essential)
* CSCS (essential)
* First Aid (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
