Job Overview
Our client a privately owned, family run funeral directors based in Darwen is looking for an Assistant Funeral Director. The role will be full time, with the working day starting at 9.00am and finishing at 5.00pm, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
* Guide families through the funeral process, supporting them in making funeral arrangements.
* Ensure all the relevant paperwork and documentation is completed accurately and on time.
* Deliver the funerals in a smooth and dignified manner following the families’ wishes.
* Provide excellent service to families, showing care and consideration of our clients’ needs and wishes.
* Work as part of a team and help other team members out during busy periods.
Requirements
* Smart appearance, caring, with a willingness to go the extra mile to support families.
* Organised, good listening skills, and a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent communication skills, acting with dignity and respect.
* Ability to work as part of a team and remain efficient during busy times.
* Positive attitude and plenty of initiative to learn procedures and quickly become a valuable member of a busy working team.
Compensation and Benefits
* Salary: £29,952.00.
* Annual leave: 23 days (plus bank holidays), increasing to 25 days after time in service and pension.
