Job Overview
We are seeking a self‑motivated and engaging pharmacist to join our small, but friendly pharmacy department. Key Responsibilities
* Lead for antimicrobials and serve as the Directorate Pharmacist for Ophthalmology, managing the band 7 dispensary and ophthalmology pharmacy.
* Undertake projects across all specialisms, promoting safe, cost‑effective prescribing, medicines management and optimisation.
* Work closely with world‑leading clinical teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and professional practice for patients.
* Support the expansion of independent prescribing within the Trust; being a pharmacist prescriber is desirable and you may be supported to obtain the qualification.
* Provide bank holiday cover, and potentially work some weekends or late nights in the future.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Registered pharmacist with the GPhC (GB).
* Post‑graduate clinical pharmacy diploma or equivalent experience.
* Excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skills.
* Good broad clinical pharmacy knowledge and skills; experience in the antimicrobial specialty is desirable.
