Job Title: SC Cleared Rigger / Slinger Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth (PL2) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Long-term, ongoing contract Pay Rate: Negotiable Overview: LRL Recruitment are seeking 4 x experienced Rigger/Slingers for an exciting long-term opportunity at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth. This is a fantastic chance to join a high-profile defence project working on maintenance and upgrades of Ships. Whether you're currently SC Cleared or not, we want to hear from you - we can support suitable candidates through the clearance process. Key Responsibilities: Sling and move heavy materials, components and equipment safely around the dockyard. Support structural alterations, maintenance and repair operations on naval vessels. Use chain blocks and fleeting techniques to safely transfer equipment within confined spaces. Adhere to strict health & safety and security procedures while working in a secure defence environment. Essential Requirements: Valid Slinger/Rigger qualification (NVQ, NPORS or CPCS) Previous rigging or slinging experience on industrial, marine, or construction projects SC Clearance (preferred but can be organised) Able to pass drug & alcohol screening Must hold valid photo ID and provide two relevant work references Desirable Experience: Experience in shipbuilding, marine engineering, heavy industrial or MOD sites Familiarity with working under strict security and safety protocols Why Join LRL Recruitment?
