Teaching Personnel is working closely with secondary schools across Northamptonshire that require behaviour support specialists from September 2025. These roles are ideal for individuals with experience in managing behaviour in a school setting or working with young people in alternative provisions, youth work, or SEN support.

We Are Looking For:
* Behaviour mentors, learning support assistants, or teaching assistants with behaviour experience
* Individuals with a background in education, psychology, youth work, or mentoring
* Resilient and calm professionals who can build strong relationships with students
* Candidates with experience supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, trauma, or low self-esteem
* People confident in managing challenging behaviour both inside and outside of the classroom

Daily Expectations:
* Provide 1:1 or small group behaviour support for identified students
* Help to de-escalate and manage challenging behaviour in a calm, professional manner
* Support students in accessing learning and reintegrating into mainstream lessons
* Build trust and rapport to act as a positive role model
* Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams
* Follow behaviour plans and safeguarding procedures consistently
* Maintain accurate records of incidents and student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
