Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Podiatrist to join our Polyclinic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and demonstrate expertise in diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions, including as necessary nail surgery and other extended scope treatments. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues, as well as the ability to utilise IT systems for patient management and record-keeping. Our current incumbents are operating very successfully on a 50/50 shared basis with the clinic covering reception, utilities, essential consumables, advertising, ongoing CPD opportunities. This post is for 2-3 weekdays initially plus a fortnightly Saturday Clinic. Any issues can be fully discussed at interview.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet and ankles to diagnose conditions.
* Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Perform surgical procedures when necessary, ensuring the highest standards of care.
* Educate patients on foot health, preventative measures, and post-treatment care.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
* Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems for documentation and follow-up.
* Participate in teaching sessions for medical students or interns, sharing knowledge and expertise.
* Do Saturday clinics
Experience
* A degree in Podiatry from an accredited institution is essential.
* Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective patient interaction.
* Proficiency in IT systems related to patient management is advantageous.
