Locum Resident Consultant Paediatrician (Maternity Cover 12 Month FTC) Full Time 10PAs
Applications are invited for the post of Resident Consultant Paediatrician with the option of an additional subspecialty interest in other areas.
This is a substantive full‑time post (10PAs). Part‑time or job‑share arrangements will be considered on request. We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic consultant paediatrician to join our paediatric department, with experience in level 2 neonates.
You will be joining a team that provides consultant‑led care in a busy District General Hospital with a substantial Neonatal Unit (NNU). The role enables the provision of consultant‑led care and supervision for junior and nursing staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, delivering excellent paediatric care in line with the London Quality Standards.
The post operates on a 6‑week rolling rota with 6 resident consultants. You will work 7 nights in each 6‑week period, with the remainder of your clinical time spent in outpatient clinics or attending on the Paediatric Ambulatory Unit or the level 2 NNU. The current rota design provides 2 weeks off within every 6‑week block.
Please see the full JD for a detailed list of duties and greater detail regarding the rota and shift patterns.
Shortlisting: You will only be contacted via e‑mail or SMS by the SWL Recruitment Hub if you are successfully shortlisted for this post. Please ensure that you check your Trac‑registered e‑mail regularly.
