About the role
We are looking for a dedicated colleague to join the Ballymena Superstore. The role involves serving our customers, maintaining the store and delivering a great shopping experience.
Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from â£12.45 an hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills.
It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week; if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for that too.
Availability windows (representing the times we would like you to work):
* Sunday: 08:00 to 12:15
* Monday: 17:00 to 23:00
* Tuesday: 19:00 to 23:00
* Wednesday: 17:00 to 23:00
* Saturday: 17:00 to 23:00
Responsibilities
* Know the customers and serve them with passion and pride; give great natural service.
* Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
* Work across the store – service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
* Apply the training you have received, so we all work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
* Make decisions that benefit customers, delivering routines in store that meet needs at the right time.
* Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about the store's performance, driving service and sales, reducing waste and shrink, and contributing to profit.
* Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in best condition.
* Live our values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies.
* Accept deliveries into the store as required.
