The Role
Manpower Engineering are looking for an experienced Fabricator to join the on-site fabrication shop, working closely alongside the Welding Manager.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with a genuine intention to offer a permanent position to the right individual.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, quality-driven, and comfortable working within a structured environment where meeting strict deadlines is essential. Work will focus on the fabrication of hydraulic components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fabrication of hydraulic components within a busy fab shop environment
2. Working closely with the Welding Manager and existing welder
3. Fit-up and preparation of hydraulic assemblies prior to welding
4. Flux Core welding to coded standards (ASME IX)
5. Reading and working from fabrication drawings
6. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
7. Adhering to QA procedures and production schedules
Essential Requirements
8. Proven experience as a Fabricator in a workshop/fab shop environment
9. Strong Flux Core welding experience
10. Coded to ASME IX (essential)
11. Ability to work accurately from engineering drawings
12. Experience fabricating hydraulic equipment or similar precision components preferred
13. Strong attention to detail and quality standards
14. Reliable, punctual, and able to meet strict deadlines
15. Good communication skills and ability to integrate into a small, organised team
