My client is a leading engineering specialist that provides solutions, maintenance, sales and hire to customers across the UK.

They currently have vacancies for proactive and qualified Welders to join the team.
Responsibilities:
* Weld metal components according to engineering specifications
* Responsible for carrying out all types of MIG welding to high standards using engineering drawings and jig arrangements.
* Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
* Deposit welds that pass both visual and NDE examinations
* Be able to Weld all metal components according to engineering specifications
* Be able to read and understand weld symbols on engineering drawings provided
* Adhering to all she related standards associated with welding, including fume control
* Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs
* Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a welder or similar role - at least 5 years’ experience
* Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of metalworking processes
* Proficient in welding techniques, including stick welding
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
* Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and equipment used in metal fabrication
* Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately
* Ability to assemble fabricated parts into finished products
* Experience in 2G Flat / 3G Vertical / 4F Overhead welding is desired.
* Relevant Experience or NVQ Level 2 or Coded Cert MIG Welding 131.
Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday - 7:30am-4pm.
Friday 07:30am-12:30pm
