Summary of the role
We currently have several vacancies for Actuarial Analysts on the Aviva Account in Bristol. In this role, you will support Customer Service by responding to policyholder calculation requests and addressing complaints. Additionally, you will work on various projects, including client-driven and regulatory initiatives, to update calculation systems and end-user computing (EUC) applications in accordance with requirements. You will also be involved in resolving risk events, ensuring that policyholder records are accurate and up to date.

What you'll be doing
* Providing support to the operations team by handling calculation-specific customer queries, performing calculations, and correcting policies where errors occurred
* Ensuring all work complies with Actuarial Technical Standards and regulatory requirements, while assisting team members
* Completing regular updates and changes to meet regulatory and other requirements within set timescales
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to implement necessary changes, whether regulatory, client-driven, or remedial
* Ensuring work quality, appropriate sign-off, and adherence to budgets, potentially acting as the actuarial project lead
* Meeting client expectations and Consumer Duty requirements during remediation activities
* Maintaining and developing EUCs for Operations and Actuarial teams, identifying opportunities for new EUCs and supporting their development
* Developing skills and behaviours in collaboration with your manager to support performance and expand your knowledge in your area of expertise
* Broadening understanding across other product and platform ranges
What we're looking for
* Proficiency in MS Excel, with a strong willingness to learn and adapt
* Ability to work independently and remain flexible to change
* Understanding of regulatory requirements
* Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
* Experience in life and pensions is preferred, but a background in financial services is essential
