A highly supportive and welcoming primary school in Handsworth is seeking an experienced and approachable SENCO to join their team for the Summer Term (April to July). This is a non-teaching role, ideal for a dedicated SENCO who is passionate about inclusive education and working closely with families and staff.
The Role:

Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
*
Oversee and maintain EHCPs, SEND records, and provision maps
*
Work closely with class teachers to ensure effective support strategies are in place
*
Liaise confidently and professionally with parents, carers, and external agencies
*
Attend and lead review meetings and annual reviews
*
Ensure the school meets its statutory SEND responsibilities
Requirements:
*
Recognised SENCO qualification – essential
*
Proven experience working as a SENCO or within SEND leadership
*
Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
*
Excellent communication skills, particularly when working with parents and professionals
*
Supportive, organised, and proactive approach
*
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
