The role will be based in our community based eating disorders home treatment team that works across 7 days. Our team helps to support the reduction of hospital admissions by providing specialised support and home treatment to young people who have an eating disorder. The service is fast paced so the applicant will be organised and self-motivated. The individual will be able to work independently when delivering care which will be directed by clinical care team. The applicant will be calm, and have a consistent approach in challenging clinical situations.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide community/hospital /home visits delivering home treatment interventions such as meal supports and observed meals. In addition the postholder will be involved in goal setting and reviewing and also working alongside the Eating disorder multi disciplinary clinical team.
The successful candidate must have completed the Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent. Candidates must also have Literacy and Numeracy level 2 or equivalent and must complete the Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies within their probationary period (first 6 months in role).
The successful candidates who do not have the required qualifications will be expected to enrol on the Healthcare Assistant Framework which will include the acquisition of the level 2 Diploma Health and Social Care, level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent and achievement of competencies. You will have a maximum of 2 years to complete this.

1. Diploma in Health and Social Care level 2 or equivalent. If applying for trainee post Diploma in Health and Social Care level 3 must be achieved within 2 years of commencement in post
2. Care Certificate. If applying for trainee post this must be achieved within 12 weeks of commencement in post
3. Key skills in Literacy and Numeracy level 2
4. Successful completion of Trust's full HCA Framework within 6-month probationary period. If applying for trainee post successful completion of the Trust's full HCA Framework, including key skills in Literacy and Numeracy level 2, within 2 years of commencement in post.

5. Previous experience as a Band 2/3 HCA or equivalent in a care environment. (Trainee post: no essential experience required)
