Veritas Education is delighted to be recruiting an enthusiastic and caring SEN Teaching Assistant for a friendly and inclusive 2 form entry primary school located in Islington. This role involves a mix of 1:1 support and in-class SEN support, working with pupils across all key stages.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with identified Special Educational Needs
Supporting pupils within the classroom alongside the class teacher
Assisting children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning needs
Helping to implement individual education plans and tailored learning strategies
Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and positive behaviour
Working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other support staffThe Successful Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience supporting children with SEN (essential)
A calm, patient, and flexible approach to learning support
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Relevant SEN qualifications or training (preferred but not essential)The School Can Offer:
