Senior Design Engineer – Structures (Infrastructure Projects)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Structural Team, working on major infrastructure projects. This role involves leading and managing complex structural design projects, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior engineers. You will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative solutions to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and development of structural engineering projects, including bridges, highways, and other infrastructure assets.
* Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
* Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
* Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations for repair or improvement.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless delivery.
* Review and approve design documentation for feasibility and safety.
* Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (MEng or BEng).
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or equivalent.
* Experience with concrete and/or steel design is highly beneficial.
* Proven experience in structural design and project management within infrastructure projects.
* Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, Tekla Structures, Revit) and AutoCAD.
* Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant building codes.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
