Overview
Oliver House School, part of Aspris Children’s Services, is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join the Education team. We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistants who can adapt to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assist pupils with their work, support pupil behaviour, and establish positive relationships as a role model, responding to individual needs.
Responsibilities

* Resilience to work with vulnerable children with emotional/behavioural difficulties, autism and related needs.
* Strong communication and teamwork to relay information to staff.
* Good organisational skills to support educational activities.

* Attentiveness to understand tasks and identify where support is needed.

About the school
Oliver House School is an independent specialist day and residential school for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have autism and complex learning needs. The school aims to bring out the best in each young person to enable positive experiences and progress according to individual abilities. We are an innovative school with high aspirations for education of pupils with Autism.
