As a BAA, you will support the daily operational functions within your designated buying team. You will also learn to develop key cross‑functional relationships with both internal and external partners in the head office in both the US and the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Ownership over the department critical path
* Provide administrative support to the buying team covering all classes issues/queries.
* Purchase order placement: accurately key in orders for UK market product.
* PO tracking and management; ensure POs are delivered in a timely manner to support stock flow. Maintain all internal systems with accurate updates.
* Assist with Monday Trade meeting preparation.
* Sample management: track samples for seasonal press days, pass samples for web photography, general sample organization, arrange meetings and sign‑offs.
* Liaise with creative department to pull samples and advise suggestions for press.
* Prepare presentations and picture packs for monthly assortment reviews and sign‑offs, maintaining ongoing assortment sheets for the Assistant Buyer / Buyer.
* Keep our pictorial system up to date (MTS).
* Send sealing comments to suppliers.
* Additional ad‑hoc tasks.
* Send courier packages.
* Carry out comparative shopping trips to develop and maintain knowledge of the current marketplace.
* Opportunity to own area after 6 months under Junior/Asst Buyer guidance.
