Private Equity Associate (2–4 PQE) – Elite US Law Firm – Central London
About the Firm
An elite US law firm with one of the fastest‑growing London offices is looking to add a private equity associate to its transactional team. The firm is widely recognised for advising global financial sponsors, investor groups and portfolio companies on complex, high‑value and cross‑border transactions, and operates a fully integrated international platform.
The London private equity practice plays a central role within the firm’s global offering and works closely with colleagues across M&A, capital markets, finance, tax, regulatory and disputes teams.
The Role
This role sits within a busy private equity practice advising on the full lifecycle of sponsor‑led investments. Associates work on a broad mix of transactions including platform acquisitions, growth investments, cross‑border carve‑outs, add‑on acquisitions, minority investments, leveraged recapitalisations, take‑private transactions and exits.
The team operates with lean deal staffing and places a strong emphasis on senior lawyer involvement, giving associates early responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to work closely with sponsors on strategically significant matters.
What They’re Looking For
* 2–4 PQE with experience advising private equity sponsors and/or portfolio companies.
* Strong grounding in M&A transactions, ideally within a private equity context.
* Exposure to buyouts, growth investments, add‑ons, minority investments or exits.
* Interest in working on complex, often cross‑border transactions.
* Strong technical ability, commercial judgement and confidence operating in lean teams.
Why Apply?
This is a compelling opportunity to join a leading private equity platform within an elite US law firm that continues to invest heavily in its London practice. The role offers high‑quality deal exposure, meaningful responsibility and close collaboration with senior lawyers on sophisticated international transactions, alongside top‑of‑market remuneration and an attractive bonus scheme.
