Job Summary
As an SMT Operator, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) department, supporting production across two busy SMT lines. Working as part of a team, you'll help ensure products are built efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and support SMT equipment including screen printers, pick and place machines, AOI systems, reflow/vapor phase ovens, and rework/repair stations
Load feeders and prepare machines for production runs
Assist with machine setup and changeovers
Monitor production to ensure smooth operation
Identify and report faults or issues during production
Carry out basic rework and soldering tasks
Perform quality checks and visual inspections of PCB assemblies
Record production data and support traceability requirements
Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with 5S and health & safety standards
What We're Looking For
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
Basic understanding of electronics assembly or PCB production
Ability to follow instructions, drawings, and specifications
Willingness to learn new skills and processes
Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interaction
