We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to support new product developments and special projects in collaboration with Laboratory and Industrialisation teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise of Mechanical Engineering within the Electrical Engineering sector and contribute to innovative solutions.

Design Engineer Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and development of Engineering projects, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
* Apply DFx principles (Cost, Manufacture, Assembly, Test) to enhance product development.
* Oversee internal and external testing with the Laboratories team.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve product issues and improve customer satisfaction.
* Maintain accurate documentation, including design files and Bill of Materials (BOM).
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise product quality and cost efficiency.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
* HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar).
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software
* Experience in Mechanical product design and strong understanding of engineering drawings.
* Technical expertise in material strengths and engineering processes to facilitate effective design for manufacturing.
* Confident user of PDM / PLM tools and understanding of BOM and change control.
* Familiarity with relevant IEC standards
