Overview Of Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an account leader to support the business development activities in our hydropower team. This BD‐focused role will grow our hydropower and pumped storage business in Europe, Africa and Latin America through stronger customer relationships and customer‑focused delivery. It will also support project leadership and delivery to build key relationships with our customers.
Responsibilities
* Support the principal account leader in delivering the wider BD strategy for hydropower and pumped storage.
* Drive revenue growth and manage cost of sales for a defined programme.
* Prepare and implement market plans, customer management plans and prospect capture plans.
* Contribute to our wind and/or solar energy sub‑sector strategies.
* Influence customer‑focused project delivery.
* Work with the hydropower resource manager to define project resource/skill needs.
* Engage in customer‑based project work with increasing focus on portfolio delivery.
* Support delivery of the hydropower and pumped storage business plan actions.
Candidate specification
* Relevant engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, civil, industrial engineering) or similar qualification.
* International hydropower and pumped storage industry experience, delivering large projects.
* Senior level experience in an energy consultancy or a relevant industry.
* Track record of developing value propositions and budgeting for winning technical and commercial proposals.
* Ability to influence decision‑making at a senior level and collaborate across departments/units.
* Commercial experience in project delivery through consultancy services.
* Excellent communication and client‑facing skills with a strong customer‑focused approach.
