Engineering Manager

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG brand on the search for an Engineering Manager. This is a perm role based in Lancashire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and high performance.
* Manage resource allocation, work schedules, and performance reviews for the engineering department.
* Develop and execute comprehensive engineering plans, including preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, and capital expenditure projects.
* Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
* Manage engineering budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely project delivery.
* Drive the transition from traditional to digital engineering documentation systems.
* Implement and manage electronic filing systems for blueprints, manuals, maintenance records, and compliance certificates.
* Champion environmental best practices within engineering operations, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable engineering solutions.
What We're Looking For:
* Degree or HND qualified.
* Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or a senior engineering role within the food or beverage manufacturing industry.
* Demonstrable experience in compliance management within a highly regulated environment, including food safety, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
* Strong track record in team management, leadership, and development of engineering personnel.
* Extensive experience in engineering planning, project management, and budget control.
* Solid understanding and practical experience in digitising engineering documentation and implementing related systems.
* Knowledge of environmental matters relevant to industrial operations, including energy management, waste management, and emissions control.
