Description
Responsible for the regional implementation of the Medical Affairs strategy in UK and the Nordics. Supporting the Medical Director with Medical Affairs activities (e.g. advisory boards, KOL management). Being responsible for special strategic Medical programs across Europe. Supporting HEOR and Commercial Operations (sales and marketing) and other functions in their region.
This position reports to the Medical Director EU. The incumbent works home office based and should be based close to a major transport hub due to the significant travel requirements.
Main Responsibilities
1. Build advocacy for company products and research activities among KOLs, including physicians, key academic centres, professional organizations, patient advocacy groups, hospital administration and payers.
2. Prepare and communicate scientific and medical information. Lecture at scientific meetings. Participate in advisory boards. Conduct face to face KOL meetings. Implement communication activities at local and global congresses. Provide responses to scientific requests.
3. Represent company at relevant congresses.
4. Provide input in Medical Affairs and Brand Strategy
5. Support the strategic Publication Plan
6. Support internal education with clinical data communication and knowledge transfer.
7. Provide scientific expertise to internal business partners. Clinical Development, Research & Development, Health Economics & Reimbursement, and Sales & Marketing.
8. Ensure compliance with regulatory and health care compliance guidelines.
Experience / Skills required
PhD, MD, or PharmD with ideally 5+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry in a similar role. Experience in any one or more of the therapeutic areas desirable: solid organ transplantation, haematology, immunology, oncology, or dermatology.
9. Experiences in implementing a medical strategy in the pharmaceutical or device industry.
10. Excellent presentation and teaching skills and to represent the company in a professional manner at medical, scientific, and public events.
