We are looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join our children’s residential service, supporting young people with Learning Disabilities and Autism. This is a rewarding opportunity to combine strong leadership with a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and young people.
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will help create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where each child can thrive and reach their potential. You’ll play a key role in leading the team, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring that children are always at the heart of decision-making.
Your Responsibilities
* Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
* Lead, mentor, and develop staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
* Ensure the home meets regulatory and safeguarding responsibilities.
* Oversee care planning and ensure positive outcomes for young people.
* Participate in the on-call rota as required.
What We’re Looking For
* NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent).
* Experience working in a children’s residential setting.
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and current care legislation.
* Organised, with good IT and paperwork skills.
* A full UK driving licence.
* A child-centred approach, always putting quality outcomes first.

Additional Information
* The role is mainly Monday–Friday office-based but can sometimes include some shift work to meet the needs of the home.
* All successful candidates must complete an enhanced DBS check (funded by the company).
