Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join our skilled team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with timber, has excellent woodworking skills, and takes pride in producing high-quality handcrafted products.
The Role:
As a Bench Joiner, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and finishing timber play equipment in our workshop. You will work from technical drawings and cutting lists to ensure that each piece meets our exacting standards for safety, durability, and craftsmanship. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Joinery & Assembly:
* Manufacture and assemble timber play equipment, ensuring each piece is crafted to a high standard.
Reading Technical Drawings:
* Work from detailed plans, cutting lists, and specifications to produce accurate components.
Machine & Hand Tool Operation:
* Safely and efficiently operate woodworking machinery, including saws, sanders, drills, planers, and routers, as well as traditional hand tools.
Quality Control:
* Inspect completed work to ensure it meets our quality and safety standards before dispatch.
Workshop Maintenance:
* Keep the workshop clean, tidy, and safe, ensuring all tools and machinery are properly maintained.
Health & Safety Compliance:
* Follow all health and safety regulations, including safe handling of tools and materials.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience in joinery
* Experience using woodworking tools
* Ability to read cutting lists
* Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
* Attention to detail

This is a full-time position Monday to Friday, however, may include some weekend work and overtime as and when required.
Salary is dependent on experience and will be discussed at interview.
