We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join our team within Vistry North Midlands at our new office location near Castle Donington (exact location to be confirmed). As our Technical Manager, you will coordinate key information, engineering, and working drawing packages to enable residential developments to be built as intended and to obtain all necessary technical approvals.

* BTEC HND/HNC in Design, Construction, or Civil Engineering
* Experience in a technical role within residential house building, consulting, or contracting
* Good IT literacy with AutoCAD, Outlook, Excel & Word
* Proven ability in delivering design projects on time, within budget, with high customer satisfaction
* Excellent organization and multitasking skills
* Commercial awareness and decision-making ability within authority
* Leadership and team collaboration skills
* Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Desirable
* Membership of professional bodies such as ICE, CIAT, CIOB
* Principal Designer and related Health & Safety qualifications
* CSCS card
* Experience with Viewpoint drawing management system
* Proficient in AutoCAD
* Experience managing technical fees and costs

* Manage sites from inception to post-completion, aligned with delivery schedules
* Complete health, safety, and environmental documentation
* Coordinate surveys, reports, and design delivery
* Manage consultant fee proposals and appointments
* Coordinate civil engineering designs and legal plans
* Undertake value engineering and buildability assessments
* Secure technical approvals and legal agreements (S104, S38, S278)
* Coordinate utility designs and mains laying
* Manage street naming, plot lists, and legal compliance
* Assist in sales brochure production, legal, and handover meetings
* Provide information for contracts, progress meetings, and design packs
* Ensure accuracy and compliance of all drawings and documents
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and landscape architects
* Support land acquisition, planning, and commercial teams
* Monitor and report on technical and development fees, including S106 obligations
* Resolve technical queries and conduct site visits as needed
