We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Alternative Provision in Stockport. This rewarding role involves supporting children and young people with complex needs, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and behavioural difficulties.
The Role:
* Providing classroom-based support to pupils across a range of subjects.
* Delivering targeted 1:1 support to students who require additional assistance.
* Building positive relationships that encourage engagement, confidence, and personal development.
* Supporting pupils to manage their behaviour and emotions effectively.
* Working closely with teachers and other professionals to implement individual support strategies.
* Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, SEMH, or behavioural challenges.
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* The ability to remain positive and professional in challenging situations.
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners to achieve their full potential.
