Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year Requirements: Experience in general aviation avionics installation and troubleshooting Broad knowledge of aircraft systems and avionics sub-systems Superior customer-oriented attitude Proficiency using personal computers and Microsoft Office Detail-oriented with proactive work approach and minimal supervision Team-oriented with a positive attitude and ability to work well with others Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced and challenging environment Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Proven problem-solving skills, B2 and/or B1 License (desired) Private Pilot license or Higher (desired) Responsibilities: Answer technical inquiries regarding Garmin products via telephone, email, and letters Receive and address customer inquiries and requests concerning products, orders, pricing, and services Work with customers to determine the best products and services to meet their needs Arrange repairs and exchanges for customers and distributors Stay current on changes in policies, procedures, and product offerings Act as a liaison between customers and associates in other departments Monitor, document, and report failure trends in Garmin equipment Identify and recommend improvements in Garmin products, documentation, and procedures Review and authorize warranty service when appropriate Provide guidance on regulatory topics under EASA/CAA/FAA regulations Be available for 24/7 aviation technical support coverage on a rotation basis Provide fielded on-site customer support as directed Accept and complete projects and miscellaneous Aviation Support duties as assigned Represent Garmin at industry meetings, conferences, and trade shows as required Participate in and potentially lead technical training events as agreed with management Assist with Pilot Operations inquiries from within the Support team Technologies: Support More: We are seeking a dedicated Aviation Field Service Engineer located in Southampton to join our dynamic team.
