Overview

:

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator.

You will work across various Criminal Justice settings based on service needs, including courts, probation offices, and prisons. Responsibilities include completing assessments, managing the prison release process, supporting individuals on probation, liaising with courts, and facilitating voluntary referrals from the police. You may also be involved in group facilitation.

Your specific functions and areas within Criminal Justice will be assigned according to service requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills and careful attention to detail in data recording. This role will include working as part of a multi-agency team with police and probation services as part of the Integrated Offender Management Unit.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver Holistic Support: Engage with our service users through psychosocial interventions to help them reduce disengagement, harm, and associated criminal activity.
2. Comprehensive Care: Conduct screenings, assessments, recovery planning, and make referrals to ensure every individual gets the support they need.
3. Collaboration: Forge strong partnerships with The National Probation Service, Court, and Prison teams.
4. Harm Minimisation: To mitigate substance misuse-related harm, reduce reoffending, and guide individuals transitioning from custody to community treatment providers.
5. Community Well-being: Work to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm not just to our service users, but to the wider community as well.
6. Inclusive Engagement: Foster involvement from carers, service users, and the community, ensuring everyone's voice is heard.
7. Advocate for Change: Support service users in accessing essential partnership services.
8. Empower Lives: Assist in social (re)integration, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination.

About you:

9. Security and compliance: Ability to obtain and retain Non-Police Personnel Vetting Level 2a and HMPPS (Prison and Probation) Enhanced Level 1vetting.
10. Empathy and Understanding: A strong grasp of substance misuse issues and experience working in similar fields.
11. Clear Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in IT.
12. Self-Motivated and Organised: Ability to take initiative, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks.
13. Knowledgeable and Resourceful: Good understanding of mental health interventions and services.
14. Team-Oriented: A supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, comfortable collaborating with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
15. Adaptable: Ability to manage change effectively, always prioritising the needs of our service users.
16. Committed to Best Practices: Understanding of information governance processes and dedication to applying all necessary safeguards.
17. Continuous Learner: Enthusiastic about seeking out learning opportunities and contributing to the development of others.
