The University of Worcester (UW) is seeking a Lecturer in Human Geography and Sustainability (Teaching & Research or Teaching Focused) to join the Department of Geography and Environment within the School of Science and Environment (SSE). We aim to ensure that all undergraduate and postgraduate students in the School receive an outstanding student experience.
You will demonstrate a commitment to contributing to this goal in student-focused, engaging, and practical ways that reflect the University’s educational values. You will be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses within the SSE portfolio, specifically those managed within the Department of Geography and Environment.
As with all SSE academic staff, you will be expected to prioritise teaching excellence, engage with research that informs teaching, and actively support recruitment and outreach activities, such as open days and school liaison events. You will teach across our BSc Geography and BSc Environmental Management & Sustainability degrees, focusing on Human Geography and Sustainability. Candidates for Teaching & Research lectureships should have research expertise in areas such as sustainability and sustainable futures, global risks, and geopolitics.

From 1st July 2025, the salary range will increase to:
* Lecturer: £38,249 - £42,882 (with progression to £46,735)
* Senior Lecturer: £44,128 - £55,755 (with progression to £60,907)
