Job Title: Operations Manager

Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent execution across the store and embed consistent routines that improve availability, reduce waste, and shrink.
* Review and optimise store processes to achieve key metrics and KRAs for availability, waste, and shrink.
* Adhere to contract‑base management and wage control while leading and coaching managers and teams to meet store standards across Ambient, Fresh, George, and General Merchandising departments.
* Create a supportive, heart‑focused culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Drive the store’s selling agenda by fostering healthy competition and the “Asdaness” spirit.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience managing diverse teams in a large‑format retail environment.
* Strong operational knowledge across food and non‑food departments.
* Track record of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
* Confidence in developing large teams and driving change through leadership.
* Experience with ER cases and understanding of HR policies and processes.
* Strong organisational skills and customer‑service orientation.
