Overview
Join a dynamic team at one of Derbyshire’s leading outdoor education and activity centres. We are recruiting for a Catering Supervisor to manage our busy kitchen at Lea Green, supporting a wide range of catering services including daily meals and special events. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead by example, ensuring high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and customer service are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee kitchen operations during your shift, including food preparation and service
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations
* Lead and support the catering team to deliver high-quality meals
* Adapt menus and prepare individual dishes to meet dietary needs and supply availability
* Maintain a strong focus on presentation and customer satisfaction
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in a food production kitchen
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
* A customer-focused approach with attention to detail
* Confidence in managing dietary requirements and adapting menus as needed
To apply you will need to have a basic food hygiene certificate, will ideally possess an NVQ II in Catering, or the equivalent, and have relevant experience in catering with a sound knowledge of health and safety requirements.
Contract Options
* All-year-round or term-time only contracts available
Starting salary within the grade is negotiable depending on your current salary, experience or qualifications.
