We are seeking an exceptional Executive Search Partner to shape how senior leadership talent is identified, assessed and appointed across a global financial services organisation.
This is a high-impact, standalone role at the heart of the leadership talent agenda. You’ll will be the interest between the Executive Committee, Board, senior leaders and HR colleagues to deliver a best-in-class executive hiring capability for Exco, Exco-1, Exco-2 and NED appointments.
This is not a transactional recruitment role. It’s a strategically positioned, hands-on opportunity for someone who can combine executive search delivery, market intelligence, stakeholder influence and talent assessment expertise to improve the quality and consistency of senior hiring decisions.
This role would suit an experienced executive search professional with 12-15 years of exp (Principal or Assoc. Partner Level) who understands how their role interfaces between multiple internal functions and understands their value and influence beyond just transactional “job filling”.
What you’ll do
* Lead end-to-end executive and senior leadership searches, from role scoping through to appointment.
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on market availability, talent quality and hiring trade-offs.
* Build robust market intelligence, competitor insight and talent pipelines for critical leadership roles.
* Partner closely with senior HR and Talent colleagues, and global senior business leaders, on succession planning and workforce needs.
* Develop and embed strong executive assessment frameworks and governance.
* Manage external executive search and talent assessment partners and confidential processes with confidence, judgement and professionalism.
* Help define what “exceptional” looks like in executive hiring, improving consistency and impact across the organisation.
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in executive-level recruitment within a complex, international environment. Please note that lateral-only recruitment experience will not be suitable for this position.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence at senior level.
* A background that bridges business, HR and the external talent market.
* Experience managing executive search firms and highly confidential assignments.
* Exposure to succession planning, leadership assessment and talent intelligence.
* Experience in specialty insurance or wider financial services is strongly preferred.
* A hands-on, credible individual contributor who can operate with judgement, pace and discretion.
* A strong preference for both Executive Search Firm, and In-House experience.
