OLD THORNS HOTEL & RESORT is seeking a Duty Manager to join our team You will ensure the smooth and safe running of the operational activities within the hotel, ensuring all guests receive high standards of customer service and care.
Your main duties will be:
* To maintain good interdepartmental communications, ensure teamwork and positive relationships with co-workers and management.
* To communicate departmental challenges to the General Manager and suggest improvements.
* To develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel systems and procedures.
* To ensure the security of the hotel and guests.
* To act as responsible duty Manager in absence of General Manager.
* To attend and participate with weekly operations meetings.
* To ensure the safety of staff and guests by correct use of equipment and crowd management.
* To understand and enforce the hotel's health and safety policy, hygiene, accident reporting, fire procedure and COSHH procedures, policies and practices.
* To report any safety hazards to Management.
* To complete Duty Manager Shift Reports of any incidents or handover information in the compliance diary.
* To have complete knowledge of fire evacuation procedures and to act as Fire Wardens whilst on duty and to safely evacuate hotel under emergency conditions.
* To hold a Personal License for the sale of alcohol and uphold licensing laws.
* To act as a first aider and any first aid responsibilities as requested.
* To provide cover or assistance, including service within any FOH Department as necessary.

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
