Reporting to the Managing Director, Transport & Logistics, the role holder will develop and lead operational excellence and best business practice, optimising our service(s) and value offering to customers to achieve performance targets. You will bring innovation, leadership, clear financial focus, growth, and ensure a high-performance culture within your remit. This is an active and visible role within a growing division requiring strong leadership competence and entrepreneurial ability. Client interaction is significant, and excellent relationship management skills are required.
About the Role
This role will require significant interaction at all levels within the company, with internal stakeholders and external clients, so excellent communication and influencing skills are essential. The role involves supporting business development activities including quotes, tender submissions, and client presentations. The individual must possess excellent leadership and motivational skills to create a high-performing team, coaching and developing team members to realize their potential, with an inspiring and engaging management style. The candidate should be self-motivated, able to work independently often in challenging situations, and a collaborative team player contributing ideas to improve team efforts. The role champions innovation and ensures compliance with industry standards, employment legislation, ISO, and company policies. Maintaining a focus on health and safety at all times is mandatory.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the role portfolio.
* Develop and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
* Experience in delivering security and cleaning contracts within both single service delivery and integrated services markets in the Transport and Logistics sector is essential.
* Proven experience managing multi-service lines, multiple sites, and teams in a senior operational management role.
* Collaborate with executive management on performance goals and long-term operational planning.
* Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and productivity.
* Develop, implement, and monitor operational systems and processes for visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles.
* Analyze current processes and performance, recommending improvements.
* Build and maintain relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors.
* Devise strategies for company-wide growth, maximizing output and minimizing costs.
* Manage significant budgets, demonstrating initiatives to meet financial targets.
Qualifications
* A relevant Business Degree, equivalent experience, or similar qualification.
* Proven senior leadership experience in a relevant field.

* Strong knowledge of operational functions including finance, customer service, operations, and people management.
* Track record of strategic operation management, client relationship building, and value-based management.
* Ability to plan and manage operational processes for efficiency and productivity.
