Teaching Personnel are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in the Reading area, who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Upper KS2 Teacher to join their team from January 2026.
This is a part-time position (3 days per week), teaching a Year 5 class. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons, and will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic and personal development as they prepare for their transition into Year 6 in September 2026.

About the Role
* Teaching a Year 5 class on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
* Planning and preparation required for the three teaching days
* Creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment that promotes progress and confidence
* Working closely with the Year 5/6 team to ensure a smooth transition for pupils moving into Year 6
* Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2 (desirable but not essential)
* Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
* A positive, adaptable, and reflective approach to teaching
* Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
