Lighting & Video Integration Engineer
Hybrid role
We are recruiting for a Lighting and Video Integration Engineer to support the design and delivery of high quality, permanent AV installations across the UK.
You'll be joining a global AV and systems integration business known for delivering large scale live, immersive and architectural projects. Their work spans entertainment venues, themed environments, commercial spaces and complex fixed installations. The focus is on creating visually impactful, technically robust systems that perform long term.
This is a hybrid technical role that bridges design, commissioning and client support. Lighting and video now work hand in hand on modern projects, so this role approaches both disciplines together to ensure seamless integration and performance.
The role
You will support the full technical lifecycle of integrated lighting and video systems. From early stage design input through to on site commissioning, troubleshooting, documentation and client training, you will play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered properly.
You will work closely with Sales, Project Management, CAD, Installation and Service teams to ensure solutions are practical, reliable and aligned with client expectations.
Key responsibilities
Support system design and technical documentation for lighting and video installations
Contribute to commissioning, testing and troubleshooting on site
Provide client training and technical handover documentation
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Support post handover technical needs where required
Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants and suppliers
Stay up to date with lighting, video and control technologies
What we are looking for
Minimum 5 years experience within AV systems integration, ideally covering both lighting and video
Strong understanding of lighting control, video distribution and AV networking fundamentals
Experience with control and synchronisation protocols such as DMX, sACN, Art Net, MA Net, MIDI, OSC or timecode
Professional video system integration experience including LED processors, projection, media servers and video over IP such as NDI or SDVoE
Exposure to platforms such as grandMA, ETC Eos, Pharos, ChamSys, Lutron, Disguise, Pixera, Resolume, NovaStar, Analog Way or Q SYS
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Vectorworks
Confident producing and interpreting technical drawings and documentation
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Comfortable delivering client training
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travelRelevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience required. Degree level education desirable.
