About the Role
Full-time permanent position, hybrid with minimum of 3 days a week on site at Hinkley Point C. As an Engineering Coordinator, you will be at the centre of our nuclear new build project, linking design and construction teams to keep the complex, multi-billion-pound project moving forward.
The Opportunity
Hinkley Point C (HPC) is building two new nuclear reactors to provide low-carbon electricity for around six million homes. This is a chance to join a high-profile, transformative project in the UK’s clean energy sector. In the Joint Design Office (JDO) you will align design and construction activities across key buildings and packages, acting as a vital link between EDF’s Nuclear New Build (NNB) team and major contractors.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Coordinate engineers across multiple disciplines to ensure smooth collaboration and timely design delivery.
* Monitor performance using key metrics and maintain high technical standards across deliverables.
* Manage design changes, resolve technical issues, and align design and construction teams.
* Assist with readiness reviews and unblock multi-disciplinary challenges.
* Report to the JDO Area Lead and Nuclear Island Engineering Manager, maintaining clear communication and risk management.
Who You Are
* Proactive mindset with strong experience within the construction industry and on-site working experience.
* Background in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering, with design, drafting, or construction experience.
* Solid understanding of contract management (particularly NEC), CDM regulations, and record-keeping systems.
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to identify improvements and drive progress.
* Degree or equivalent experience in engineering. Structured, pragmatic approach to risk management and results delivery.
* Security vetting eligibility: UK resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
