Key Account Manager – Charities (Field Based)
📍 Harlow / South East (Field & Home Based)
💷 £30,000 – £45,000 + Uncapped Commission + Company Car/Car Allowance
About the Role
We’re looking for a driven Key Account Manager with proven experience in external sales and account management, ideally within Charities, Retail Consumables, or Shop Fittings. You’ll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key customers, while also developing new business opportunities across your territory.
This is a field-based role with home working, reporting to the Head of External Sales & Key Accounts. You’ll spend your time visiting clients face-to-face, building strong relationships, and delivering outstanding service, with full support from our internal account management team.
What You’ll Be Doing

Manage and grow a portfolio of nominated key accounts within the Charity / Retail sector

Build strong relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders
*
Proactively promote our full range of products and solutions to achieve sales targets
*
Identify new business opportunities and expand our customer base
*
Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction at every stage
*
Conduct external client visits and video/phone meetings to maintain regular contact
*
Cross-sell products and solutions to maximise account value
*
Follow up on quotations and close business effectively
*
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide sales forecasts and KPI reports
*
Work with marketing and sales leadership to re-engage lapsed accounts and develop vertical markets
*
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and product developments
About You
*
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an external sales / account management role (essential)
*
Background in retail consumables, shop fittings, or charity supplies preferred
*
Proven track record of winning new business and growing accounts
*
Strong negotiation and closing skills with consultative selling ability
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*
Strong planning, organisational, and time-management skills
*
IT proficient (MS Office, CRM systems)
*
Full UK driving licence
