We are looking for an Accommodation Electrician to join our team at Dronfield. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within our fleet of modular accommodation units and site cabins. Working as part of our Accommodation team, you’ll help deliver high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused solutions for clients across the construction and infrastructure sectors.
Main Responsibilities
* Install, test, and certify electrical systems in modular accommodation units, welfare cabins, and site offices.
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to electrical installations in accommodation units both in-depot and on-site.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, ensuring all work meets current wiring regulations and safety standards.
* Complete electrical inspection and testing, including EICR and PAT, and maintain accurate records and certification.
* Liaise with depot staff, site teams, and clients to coordinate installation and maintenance schedules.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety policies and relevant legislation.
* Support the wider Accommodation team with general depot duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience Required
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
* 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
* Experience in installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems, ideally within modular buildings, cabins, or similar environments.
* Valid ECS/JIB card (preferred).
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Commitment to safe working practices and high standards of workmanship.
