Support Worker/Personal Care Assistant

Hours per week: 3 hours, 2-4 times per month. Flexible.
Hourly pay rate: £15.00

The role may be offered on an employed or self-employed basis, depending on the suitability and agreement with the employer. Responsibilities
* Stay with the daughter and provide attentive care, ensuring safety and well-being.
* Engage with her in her favourite activities (listening to music or stories) and encourage creativity through short art sessions or physical activities (e.g., jumping on an exercise ball).
* Assist with going to the park and National Trust gardens; accompany her as needed, including occasional school pickups.
* Help maintain a calm and positive atmosphere; provide reassurance as needed.
* Support basic household duties related to her needs: warming up and serving food, clearing away after eating, tidying toys/books after play, assisting with toileting, and placing clothes in the laundry basket when changing.
* Respect and care for the family’s pet cat as part of a warm, harmonious household.
* Follow instructions and work with initiative while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

* Warming up food and clearing away after eating

* Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
* Must be comfortable with pets
* Able to work to high standards of health & safety
* Previous experience with children or young people with special needs (desirable)
* Compassionate, responsible, attentive, caring and understanding
* Additional requirements: Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
