We are looking for a Technical Senior Project Manager with strong experience in delivering complex infrastructure and engineering projects to join our innovative Plug & Play team.
This is a delivery-focused role where you will lead the coordination and execution of standardised, repeatable solutions for major infrastructure programmes, supporting one of the UK’s largest capital investment initiatives.
You’ll play a key role in shaping how we plan, manage, and deliver projects smarter, faster, and more efficiently, ensuring solutions are well-defined, buildable, cost-effective, and aligned across multidisciplinary teams.
You will be responsible for delivering projects to programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while driving collaboration between engineering, design, and delivery teams.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You’ll be ensuring that appropriate project management input is provided to the project team, enabling effective coordination between the Severn Trent Product Team and Site Design Teams to support successful delivery and installation of standard solutions on site.
Project Leadership & Delivery
1. Lead the planning and delivery of projects, with a strong focus on:
Programme management and scheduling Budget control and cost management Coordination of multidisciplinary engineering and delivery teams
2. Manage projects from concept through to delivery and handover
3. Ensure clear governance, reporting, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle
4. Drive consistency in delivery across multiple projects and workstreams
Technical Oversight
5. Support teams to deliver solutions that are practical, buildable, and aligned with project requirements
6. Review and challenge inputs from designers, consultants, and contractors
7. Coordinate teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
8. Facilitate resolution of technical issues through collaboration with engineering teams
Innovation & Standardisation
9. Support the implementation and rollout of repeatable / standard product solutions
10. Drive efficiency through improved processes, lessons learned, and continuous improvement
11. Promote standardisation to enhance delivery speed, cost efficiency, and quality outcomes
12. Contribute to development of delivery frameworks, processes, and best practices
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
13. Work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders
14. Act as the key interface between product, design, and delivery teams
15. Ensure alignment across all parties to achieve project objectives
16. Support effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle
Risk & Quality Management
17. Identify, manage, and mitigate project and delivery risks
18. Ensure projects meet requirements for health & safety (CDM), programme, cost, constructability, delivery, and whole-life quality performance
19. Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Essential Experience
20. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
21. Significant experience delivering complex infrastructure or engineering projects, particularly: Multidisciplinary project coordination Capital project delivery across design and construction phases Delivery of modular or standardised solutions (desirable but not essential)
22. Strong working knowledge of: Project delivery methodologies ( waterfall, stage-gate, or agile where applicable) Commercial and cost management principles Programme planning and scheduling tools
23. Experience managing consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders
24. Proven ability to drive projects forward, resolve issues, and deliver practical outcomes
Level
Ideally operating at Senior Project Manager level, but strong Project Managers / Advanced professionals will be considered

31. Understanding of CDM regulations and project delivery responsibilities
32. Professional certification ( APM, PRINCE, PMP) or working towards
33. Experience driving cost optimisation, efficiencies, or value-led delivery
