Base pay range
Starting salary (based on a 40‑hour week) of £26,780.00 progressing to £28,119.00 basic salary when trained on delivering the Brain In Hand service. In addition, generous allowances are payable for weekend and unsociable hours.
Schedule and location
Start date: 2nd February 2026
Location: Exeter Office
You will be expected to work evening shifts, including weekends, typically between 4 pm and 10 pm. A rota will be published one month in advance.
Job responsibilities
* Assess, control and arrange swift resolution to emergency situations by contacting relevant services
* Accurately record details of calls received using our systems
* Take action based on information provided by customers
* Guide customers through the process of installing and testing their new alarm system
* Remotely program alarm equipment installed in customers’ homes
* Assist with basic troubleshooting checks on alarm equipment and GPS wearable devices, forwarding information to customer services where appropriate
* Monitor automatic signals from alarms and resolve power or battery issues
Key qualifications
* Comfortable working in a high-volume contact centre environment
* Confident, professional and caring with a patient manner on the telephone
* Previous experience of dealing with customers
* Experience using various systems to keep records updated and proficiency with Microsoft applications
* Flexible and adaptable to change; comfortable with new technology
* Ability to multi‑task and follow procedures with an inquisitive nature
* High attention to detail
* Desirable: prior experience in a care, customer service or call centre environment
