We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of children and young people who need additional behavioural and emotional support.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who may display challenging behaviour, helping them to engage positively with learning and develop emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills. You’ll collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to provide consistent, tailored support.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small-group behaviour support
* Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies
* Support pupils in managing emotions and developing coping skills
* Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
* Monitor progress and contribute to reviews and reports
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
About You
* Patient, resilient, and empathetic
* Confident in managing challenging behaviour calmly and positively
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Experience working with children/young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
