Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team, supporting a large plant sales operation. Based out of our Leicester depot, this is a field-based role requiring travel to customer sites to carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery including diggers, dumpers, and excavators.

Key Responsibilities
* Attend customer sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain plant machinery.
* Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
* Perform fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Complete all work efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
* Accurately record all work undertaken, including parts used and time spent.
* Liaise professionally with customers, providing clear updates and technical explanations.
* Work independently with minimal supervision while managing workload effectively.
* Ensure company vehicle, tools, and equipment are maintained in good condition.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience working with plant machinery (essential).
* Relevant mechanical or plant fitter qualifications.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
* Demonstrable experience in diagnostics and fault finding.
* Background in construction, plant, or agricultural machinery.
* Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* IT literacy for completing service reports and documentation.

Additional Requirements
